Red by Treble Charger guitar tab (text):Date: Wed, 27 May 1998 20:47:19 PDT From: Zos Mallard Subject: t/treble_charger/red.tab "Red" by treble charger ++++++++++++++++++++++++ There is already a post of this song originally by Paul Nazaroff, then redone by Andrew Davis. Now, it's been tampered with again by us. Our way is slightly different in the opening bit, different chords for the chorus, and a more true-to-the-original solo. Overhauled, facelifted, and generally screwed with by Andrew Davis (davisa@rcsn.nb.ca) Added intro, outro, and solo, changed chord names to tablature, and corrected some errors. I've tried to space tabs a bit to give a sense of timing, but it's pretty much impossible if you can't listen to the song while you learn it, so I suggest you play the song on your stereo a few times while you try to play it. In other words, "it is important to play the record over and over, because you learn by listening. Later, we will tell you how to order breakfast just as you would at any colorful German restaurant." (You need to have the KMFDM single 'Mdfmk' to get that one) Anyway, this probably has a couple errors in it, but I think it sounds close enough to the original song. During the verse, the chords given are played by the 2nd guitar, and the intro is played under it by the lead guitar. When you're playing with just one guitar, I find it sounds better hitting the chords. My amp has 3 EQ knobs - bass, middle, and high. I find it sounds most like the recording with treble maxed, middle low, and bass maxed. This makes the most difference in the chorus, as it makes the distortion sound different. Notes: h = hammer-on = slide down ^ = bend p = pull-off / = slide up Intro - Clean electric: e|--------------0-------------| B|-----3-----3---3---1---0h1--| G|--0---0---2-2---2---2-----2-|Play 3 times then go to next part D|---0---0-0---0----2---2-----|as smoothly as possible A|-----------------0---0------| E|-3--3-----------------------| Saw you lookin... e|---------------0----------------------| B|---1---3-1---3--3---1---0h1--1---0h1--| G|----0-----0-2-2--2---2--------0-----0-| D|--2---2------------2---2----2---2-----|Play once, go to chorus A|-3---3-----0------0---0----3---3------| E|--------------------------------------| His fingers stretched...
