Agnus Dei by Third Day chord (text):

Title:Agnus Dei
Artist: Third Day
Album: Rocketown Rec. Exodus Compilation
Author: M. W. Smith & 1990 O'Ryan Music, Inc. (ASCAP)

After the drum and bass intro, strum a C chord and play with the
feedback for four measures. Then play the riffs below. There is no
timing significance in this tab. Guitar 1 is an acoustic, while guitars
2&3 are electric. During this part guitars 1&3 play a c chord, while
guitar 2 plays R1. Guitar 3 has a clean distortion here.

Gui2 C
R1 D------5-----5-(5)/7\3--
   A--3-3---3-3------------

During this part guitar 3 plays R3 while guitar 1 plays the F chord.

Gui2 F
R2 D------10-----10---10---10-----10---10---10/--
   A--8-8----8-8----8----8----8-8----8----8------

Listen for the rhythm and the timing to bend the note up.

Gui3 F
R3 G--5--

The first time the repeat is done on the verse guitar 2 comes in.

Gui2 C F C F
R4 D----3/5/7-----5-----5-(5)/7\3---3/5/7--
   A--3-------3-3---3-3-----------3--------

The second time the verse is played guitar 2 plays R5. Guitars 1&3 play
the chords. Guitar 3 uses a distortion, tremolo, and phase sound.

Gui2 F C F
R5 D--3/5/7-----5-----5-(5)/7\3---5-(5)/7\5\3-2~-3/5/7--
   A--------3-3---3-3-----------3-----------------------

      C
   D------5-----5-(5)/7\3----
   A--3-3---3-3-----------3--

The interlude after the first verse is R6. During this part guitar 3 is
tacet, I couldn't hear a guitar 3. Guitar 1 plays a C chord.

Gui2 C
R6 A--3/5/7/8/10/12/17--15~--17--19~\

The pause before the second chorus is a 6/8 measure. The second time
the chorus is played guitar 2 plays R7.

Gui2 C G F
R7 E-----15--------15--------15-----------15~------13~-------13~--
   B--13----13~-13----13~-13----13~-15-15-----13--------13--------
   G---------------------------------------------14--------14-----

When playing the Fm and the Ab6 in the second chorus substitute R8 for
R7(the F chord part).

Gui2 F Fm & Ab6
R8 E--------13~-------13~--
   B--13--------13---------
   G-----14--------13------

When playing the C chord right before the guitar solo guitar 2 plays R9.

Gui2 C
R9 E--------15----15----15-----------15----15----15\--
   B--13-13----13----13----13--13-13----13----13------

Verse:
C F C F C (repeat)
F

Chorus:
C G
F *1
C G
F *2 (C)

*1 means: the third time this particular line is played, guitar 1 plays
a Fm. Guitar 3 plays the Ab6. Then play Rhy.Fig.1 and solo. *2 means:
the second time this particular line is played, guitar 1 plays a Fm.
Guitar 3 plays the Ab6. PLay this where the *'s lie. Guitar 3 uses a
distortion and phase sound in the chorus.

This is the outro part during the guitar solo. The C5 and Ab6 didn't
come from me but from the song "This Song was Meant for You". Guitar 3
uses a distortion and phase sound for the outro.

The *'s mean to bend up a 1/4 and return to the next stated fret. He
uses a wah and muffles a lot. You will have to figure out the rhythm
for the octave bars yourself. Just like to say that Third Day is the
BEST band out there. I plan to give more tabs from the band. Hope you
enjoy.-Kent-
