A D E
Beside yourself if radio's gonna stay.
A D E
Reason: it could polish up the grey.
A D E
Put that, put that, put that up your wall
A D E

F# A (EEAE) F# A B
Raving station, beside yourself

{same as verse above}
Keep me out of country in the word
Deal the porch is leading us absurd.
Push that, push that, push that to the hull
That this isn't nothing at all.

Straight off the boat, where to go?

Calling on in transit, calling on in transit
E A E A
Radio Free Europe

Beside defying media too fast
Instead of pushing palaces to fall
Put that, put that, put that before all
That this isn't fortunate at all

Raving station, beside yourself
Calling on in transit, calling on in transit
Radio Free Europe, radio.

Bsus4 C# Bsus4 C#

Keep me out of country in the word
Disappoint is into us absurd

Straight off the boat, where to go?

This name I got we all agreed
See could stop stop it will rid
We could bind it in the cist
We could gather, throw a fit

Up to buy, Katie buys a kitchen-size, but not me in
Setting trap for love, making a waste of time, sitting still

I'm the sign and you can read.
I'm the sign and you're not deaf.
We could bind it in the cist.
We could gather, throw a fit.

Up to buy, Katie buys a kitchen-size, but not me in
Setting trap for love, making a waste of time, sitting still
I can hear you. I can hear you. I can hear you.

This name I got we all agree
See could stop stop it will rid
We could bind it in the cist

Up to buy, Katie buys a kitchen-size, but not me in
Setting trap for love, making a waste of time, sitting still

{same as intro}
I can hear you. I can hear you. I can hear you.

You can gather when I talk, talk until you're blue
You could get away from me. Get away from me.

Up to buy, Katie buys a kitchen-size, but not me
Setting trap for love, making a waste of time, sitting still
I can hear you. I can hear you. I can hear you.
I can hear you. I can hear you. I can hear you.
Can you hear me?

I'll try to "pretty" it up when I have the time. - Chris)

Lyrics:

Steady repetition is a compulsion mutually reenforced.
Now what does that mean?
Is there a just contradiction?
Nothing much.
Now I lay me down to sleep, I pray the Lord my soul to keep.
If I should die before I wake, I pray the Lord, hesitate.

Got to punch
Right on target
Twisting tongues
Gotta stripe down his back
all nine yards down her back

Give me a couple,
Don't give me a couple of pointers,
Turn to lies and conversation fear

Got to punch
Right on target
Twisting tongues
Gotta stripe down his back
all nine yards down her back

Give me a couple,
Don't give me a couple of pointers,
Turn to lies and conversation fear

What is my mind?
What is my mind?

Steady repetition is a compulsion mutually reenforced.
Now what does that mean?
Is there a just contradiction?
Nothing much.
Now I lay me down to sleep, I pray the Lord my soul to keep.
If I should die before I wake, oh come on, hesitate, hesitate.

Got to punch
Right on target
Twisting tongues
Gotta stripe down his back
all nine yards down her back

Give me a couple,
Don't give me a couple of pointers,
Turn to lies and conversation fear

Conversation fear. Conversation fear. Conversation fear.

(in normal tuning)

intro is of course strings and notes, but if you play an A chord it
sounds good. Then after the intro before the song kicks in I think
it is a B or B5. From what I can tell the verse is E then B (orB5) and the
last line of the verse is E and the chorus goes B//A// and there may be a G
in there somewhere but maybe it's just the bass playing a G.

From: domenico suppappola (dxsuppap@fcserv04.psf.ge.com)

I'm not certain about the intro so here's my best shot:

E:-2-3-5-3s2-2 that's the bassline....

e:---0-----0-----0-----0-----
B:-2---2-3---3-5---5-3---3-3-2 that's my best guess at the jangles

Verse:
A two punch.............right on target........
E Esus4 E Bm 7th fret harmonics-s-5th fret harmonics

Chorus:
Give me a couple of, don't give me a couple of pointers turn to lies and
B A G A B A G

Conversation fear.
      A B 7th fret harmonics-s-5th fret harmonics

{once again, there's a melody line played on the E string with
 the chords, it just alternates between D Dsus2 and Dsus4;
with the Bm chord, its easier to play a "cheater" chord (no barre)
then pick out the notes. Or I guess you could play straight chords if
 you're a weenie}
