Happy Home by Garbage guitar tab (text):----------------------------------------------------------------------------- HAPPY HOME - Garbage ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- Tabbed by: gothimyes Email: got_him_yes AT hotmail.com Tuning: Drop D (D A D G B e) This song is more complex than you think... Any comments or problems, just email me Note: The outro is a bitch, and it sounds like there are 2 guitars and synth all playing in opposite directions, so I've only tabbed 1 of them. If you play along you should notice that it fits in well Enjoy! Verse 1 (guitar, vocals only) This is palm-muted, on only 1 string. I won't write the repetitions, it's easy to figure out anyway, just listen to the song D F G F E D F G A e|---------------------------------------------------------------------------| B|---------------------------------------------------------------------------| G|---------------------------------------------------------------------------| D|---------------------------------------------------------------------------| A|---------------------------------------------------------------------------| D|-0-----------3-------5------3---2-----------0-----------3-----5-------7----| "In my happy home, I barely breathe. In my lovers arms I find relief" Bb F G A e|---------------------------------------------------------------------------| B|---------------------------------------------------------------------------| G|---------------------------------------------------------------------------| D|---------------------------------------------------------------------------| A|---------------------------------------------------------------------------| D|---------------8----------3--------------5---------7-----------------------| "And there's a sky that's changing and a bird that sings" Bb F G D e|---------------------------------------------------------------------------| B|---------------------------------------------------------------------------| G|---------------------------------------------------------------------------| D|---------------------------------------------------------------------------| A|---------------------------------------------------------------------------| D|---------8----------3----------------5--------------0----------------------| "I never once in my wayward life was heading to run out" Verse 2 Palm-muted as well (until just before the chorus, D) Use 2 strings this time if you want. Notice that the 1st line is different to the first verse. D F Bb F E In my lovers arms I wait for morning D F G A I beg my god to speak and tear me apart Bb F G A I'd lay down my body I'd lay down my arms Bb F G D I never once in my sweet short life meant anybody harm Chorus Use full power chords this time (eg, D = 000---) Listen for repetitions, and for palm-mute at the end Bb F G D Bb F A Verse 3 Same instructions as previous verse. Notice that the 1st 2 lines here are different to the previous verses. D C Bb F E In my happy home i read the signs D C Bb A In my lovers arms I move in time Bb F G A There's no more crying and there's no more lies Bb F G D I never once in my sweet short life was waiting for desire Chorus same as before Bridge power chords again. The D# here is -688-- F C D# Bb F Verse 4 Same palm-muting, etc Bb F And there's no more crying G A And there's no more pain Bb F G D I never thought for one second I'd have nothing left but shame Chorus Outro (guitar, vocals only) Same 1 string thingy as per Verse 1. Notes are different here though Listen for the timing of chords for the instrumental outro thing D F G A e|---------------------------------------------------------------------------| B|---------------------------------------------------------------------------| G|---------------------------------------------------------------------------| D|---------------------------------------------------------------------------| A|---------------------------------------------------------------------------| D|-0-----------3------5------7-----------------------------------------------| "In my happy home I barely breathe" Bb F G D e|---------------------------------------------------------------------------| B|---------------------------------------------------------------------------| G|---------------------------------------------------0-----------------------| D|---------------------------------------------------0-----------------------| A|---------------------------------------------------0-----------------------| D|---------8----------3----------------5-------------0-----------------------| "I never once in my wayward life was heading to run out" (Instrumental outro) This is a bit tricky so read carefully. The first line is just the lead-in, and has no repetition The 6 lines after that uses high F, but after that it uses low F D = 000----------| Dh (D high) = -577---------| D# = -688---------| F = 333----------| Fh (F high) = -8(10)(10)---| ------------------------------------- C Bb Dh Bb F D# Bb C# D# Fh C D# Bb Fh D# Bb G# Bb Fh C D# Bb Fh D# Bb C# D# Fh C D# Bb Fh D# Bb G# Bb F C D# Bb F D# Bb G# Bb F C D# Bb F D# Bb C# D# F etc... ---------------------------------------- |
