Lagavulin by Wide Mouth Mason guitar tab (text):HottestTabs [http://www.hottesttabs.com] Artist: Wide Mouth Mason Song: Lagavulin Tabbed by: Adrian Stiegler adrian@stiegler-design.com Date: September 1st 2002 http://www.widemouthmason.com ====================================== I remember hearing this song a while back when Shawn played on some show live and did two songs, Lagavulin and It's So Bad Tonight. When I first heard the song I was hooked, although he was playing a nylon string guitar and it was very hard for me to understand what he was playing. Thankfully, Rained Out Parade has come out with this song released on it. YEAA, well here it is tabbed out for you. This sounds almost PERFECT to the recorded song. 99.9 % I really went indepth with the look and feel of this song. I feel it's one of Shawn's best ballad's. ====================================== TUNING: Eb,Ab,Db,Gb,Bb,Eb INTRO ====================================== Bm D G F#7 |-2--2---x--5--5---x---3--3--x------2-----------|| |-3--3---x--5--5---x---3--3--x------2-----------|| |-5--5---x--7--7---x---4--4--x------3--3-/-4----|| |-5--5---x--7--7---x---5--5--x------2-----------|| |-2--2---x--5--5---x---5--5--x------4-----------|| |--------x--5--5---x---3--3--x---2--------------|| let ring --> VERSE ====================================== Bm F#7 Bm F#7 |--------------2---------------|----------------2---------------|| |-------3------3---------2-----|---------3------3---------2-----|| |----4---------4--4------3h4---|------4---------4--4------3h4---|| |----4-----4-------------4-----|------4-----4-------------4-----|| |-2-------(2)------------------|---2-------(2)------------------|| |--------------------(2)-------|----------------------(2)-------|| ring ring Bm F#7 Bm F#7 |-----------------------------|---------------------------------|| |-------5-----3-------2-------|----x--5x5x5-3---2---------------|| |-------4-----4-------3-------|----x--4x4x4-4---3-h-4-----------|| |----4------------4---4---4---|----x--2x2x2-2---4---------------|| |-2--------2------------------|---------(2)---------------------|| |-----------------------------|--2------------------------------|| This is a little sketchy. He's doing his little fingering again. This gives you the idea perfectly though and this way is great to try and finger pick. Feels good! If your not sure about this one, just play the chords. It still works fine. He's got some effects running while doing a chord pattern here. These chords should tide you over for it though. That took me a while but it's perfect and I hope you enjoy playing it as much as I do. Clearly one of the best new song's on their album.
